The Enchanted Maze Garden - Arthurs Seat

Today we wanted to have a real family outing, a day where we felt like tourists in our own backyard!  Well, we kind of are tourists, so much still to explore on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula.  We have now lived here for 2 years, but boy do we have so much more to see and do.  Every day for us feels like an adventure and a holiday.  How could you not enjoy waking up each day and smelling the wonderful sea air? Driving out of our street and looking at the bay each day, puts a smile on my face and makes me appreciate the beautiful part of the world that we live in.
Some people say that we are so lucky to live where we live - yes, of course we are, but we have worked damn hard to get to where we are in life.  We have been married for 9 years in November this year, we held off on having kids until we had been married 6 years.  It wasn't really a financial choice, it was mainly due to the fact that we weren't ready at the time.  Children are a blessing, a gift, they make you laugh and they make you cry - we are so glad that we have been able to bring two beautiful boys into the world.
Today was one of those days when my kids made my heart melt.
We had planned for days to visit The Enchanted Maze Garden in Arthurs Seat.  From the moment we arrived, we knew it was going to be a lot of fun.  The place is wonderful, the gardens are beautiful - and Coops was in his element.  Being able to run flat out for hours!  He loved the mazes, constantly telling us to go "this way"! There are 5 mazes, and they are all very different.  The indoor 3d maze was a little scary for him, I had to carry him the whole way.  Although it was Will that struggled when we came to the rolling tunnel effect!  But Coopers favourite part was the tube ride, we had to drag him away from there after about 10 slides.  It was hard work, as you had to drag your tube up to the top of the hill to start and each time, he insisted on sitting inside of the tube.  So, that was an extra 16kgs to drag!!  I thought he would be scared the first time, but straight away he had a massive grin on his face and let out a big weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!  He even tried to slide down it without the tube, luckily the safety guy grabbed him. That's our little daredevil - loves the thrill of a big slide!
Little Charlie slept the whole time, from the moment we left home until the moment we pulled up back in the driveway.  Oh well, we will take him back when he is older!
We were all so tired when we arrived home, it was a lot of walking.  So, we spent some time chilling out as a family.  Coops and Charlie had some hang out time, it was so cute - check out the photo's!
I think our little boys are going to be great mates, they already share such a special bond.  Charlie idolises his big brother and is always singing out to him to try and get his attention.  I always wanted a little girl, someone I could dress in tights!! But, you know what, I am so happy with my two little guys. They bring so much joy to my heart everyday - being a parent is wild at times, but I would not have it any other way. When they give you those special smiles and tight little snuggles, they really do take your breath away!
